From the President
Greetings new member and welcome to the Box Hill City Archers family! We aim to provide a social and supportive environment for all of our archers so that we may see them grow from novices, freshly graduated from the Beginners Course, to experienced archers in their own right. Shoot with us down on the line, get to know all of us during the tea breaks, learn about archery and make merry! All of us just want to become better archers, and we hope you choose to stay and grow with us.
We also hope that as you discover the benefits of being part of our club, you will find yourselves possessed of a desire to contribute back to the club. Our facilities, equipment, expertise and friendships are yours to draw upon as a member, but none of these would be long for this world without the contributions of our members. Servings fray, targets soften, arrows moult, and even shooting line markings fade. There are competitions to organise, budgets to balance, and students to teach. It sounds like a lot of work, and it is, but many hands make light work, and the result is always satisfying.
But before we get too far ahead of ourselves, it’s early days yet. You are new, and there is much to learn about archery, your path forward, and the club’s processes. So please read on through the Members section of our website and I hope to see you down on the shooting line!
